Call the PICO Children's Healthcare Action Hotline!

1-866-633-6432

This automated phone system will connect you to the offices of your state legislator so that you can urge him/her to support health insurance for all California's children.

When you call the hotline, you will be asked to enter your ZIP code and will be connected free of charge to the offices of your State Senator and Assemblymember.

When you are connected to your state legislator's office in Sacramento:

  • Tell them that you are concerned about children in your community who lack health coverage;
  • Ask them to support health coverage for all children; and
  • Tell them that you would like to see the expansion of children's health coverage begin next year.

It's possible you may speak either directly to a staff person or leave a message on an answering machine. After you speak with one office, please stay on the line and we will automatically connect you to the next office and to your federal elected officials.

Please note that the hotline may further connect you to your federal Representative and Senator's offices in Washington DC so that you can speak out in support of SCHIP reauthorization. Please tell them to:

  • Fully reauthorize SCHIP at a sufficient level to allow Californian and other states to comprehensively cover their uninsured children.

For more information, please contact Kiren Rizvi with PICO California at 916-447-7959 x19.

Thanks for your work on behalf of children!
