Kids' Coverage Bills Take Critical Next Steps!

After successful passage from their houses of origin in early June, SB 32 (Steinberg) and AB 1 (Laird/Dymally), companion children's health coverage expansion bills, are scheduled for hearings in the second houses. SB 32 will be heard in Assembly Health Committee on July 3rd and AB 1 will be heard in Senate Health on July 11th. The outcomes of each committee hearing are a critical next step in ensuring that all of California's children have access to quality, affordable and comprehensive health care.
