The Results are In! Recent Statewide Poll Data Show Support for Children's Coverage

A recent statewide survey conducted for The California Endowment has found that California voters define health care coverage for all children as a top priority while citing overwhelming support for broader health care reform. Support for these measures run deep, as voters of all partisan and ideological persuasions--as well as voters in all parts of the state--support reform, which must include health coverage for all of California's children.

  • Consistent with previous polls, this most recent survey continues to show that voters overwhelmingly support covering all children. Fully 82 percent of registered voters argue that all children should be covered; and when they are provided a more detailed description of how this can happen--including a description of the costs involved--support remains very high; 73 percent support the plan.
