October 6, 2005 at 9:45am, State Capitol, Room 317: Prior to an Assembly Health Committee hearing, Assembly Member Wilma Chan (D-Oakland) and health advocates will urge Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign Assembly Bill 772 (Chan), which would provide access to health coverage for all California children through the California Healthy Kids program and Assembly Bill 1199 (Frommer) which would create the California Healthy Kids Fund as a repository for public and private contributions that would supplement existing state and federal children’s health care funds. Anticipated speakers include Assembly Member Wilma Chan; Deena Lahn, Children’s Defense Fund California and the 100% Campaign; Pastor Charles Warner, Christ Temple Apostolic Church, Sacramento along with other health advocates. ************************************************************************ 3.
