Summary
This report contains nine maps developed by the Children's
Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles and the 100%
Campaign. These maps lay out the true process of how
uninsured children in Los Angeles County attain and
maintain health coverage through Medi-Cal, Healthy
Families and Healthy Kids. They identify areas where
children are at risk for falling through the cracks
and not obtaining or retaining health coverage. This
report also includes recommendations for change, so
that children and families seamlessly enroll and maintain
enrollment in the most appropriate health coverage
program available.
A companion report, entitled "Proposed California
Healthy Kids Insurance Program," illustrates how
children would enroll in health coverage based the proposed
California Healthy Kids legislation (AB 437/SB 772).
It should be used in conjunction with "Mapping Children's
Health Coverage Enrollment."
