With more than 7,600 children on Healthy Kids waiting
lists, many local Children's Health Initiatives (CHI) are struggling
to provide coverage for all of the uninsured children in their communities.
In a new policy brief by the Institute for Health Policy Solutions,
the authors document how local CHIs have run short of funds to meet
the demand in their counties, leaving many children without health
insurance.
