California's Uninsured Children

Nearly 1 million California children age 18 and under lacked health insurance in 2001, resulting in one out of ten California children (10.5%) being uninsured. California ranks 46th out of 50 states and the District of Columbia in its percentage of uninsured children. This fact sheet includes information on income, job-based health insurance, ethnicity and immigration status.
