This fact sheet describes the 100% Campaign's
proposal for the creation and implementation of an
Electronic Enrollment Gateway, which would allow
children to enroll into Medi-Cal and Healthy Families
at the same time that they enroll into other public
programs, such as school lunch and WIC. The cornerstone
of the new system is modernizing California's
current enrollment system by using technology to
create better connections between the various programs
and automating current manual enrollment processes.
These changes would make it possible to reach hundreds
of thousands of uninsured children eligible for health
insurance.
